Ethical Fashion Aficionados Needed! (Project for University, help appreciated!)

Hello all,

My name is Mateo Marchan and I am a college student with a strong interest in sustainable fashion. For a project that I am working on I would like to interview individuals that shop or have shopped for ethical and eco-friendly clothing. I'd just like to know about your recent experiences purchasing ethical/eco-friendly clothing and what your perception of the current fashion market is.

I promise, the interview shouldn't take long and can occur via instant message, Skype, phone call, or whatever medium you feel most comfortable with! All contributions will be anonymous -- I am only looking for input.

Thank you for your interest. If you have any questions or would be interested in participating here is a link to my Calendly.

Happy holidays!

https://www.youtube.com/attribution_link?a=j24qwjTylIU&u=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DheRYlWdrp_w%26feature%3Dshare - recently uploaded this to Youtube and I find it helps get the most use out of our clothes and reducing the carbon footprint of our closets :) Hope it's OK that I contributed this way - new to reddit and wanted to share something hopefully of value.

Considering starting a sustainable brand.

I’m curious about what it is that draws you to shopping at sustainable and ethical clothing lines. It’s something that I’ve done for years for a multitude of reasons (personal conviction, that sinking feeling after watching The True Cost, and the toll that cheap clothing and fast fashion took on my life in earlier years).

I’ve wanted to start a line for about two years. It’s capital intensive and I’m diving straight in.

  • What draws you to buying from a sustainable/ethical company?

  • What makes the products you buy “worth it,” so to say?

  • What are the products you typically buy or look for?

  • What are your favorite sustainable brands?

  • And as these products tend to be on a higher pricepoint than major retailers, why?

Thanks for any insight you can give me.
