We are conducting an academic survey on the viability of Organic Clothing. We intend to use the result to try and convince Indian manufacturers to switch to more sustainable production techniques as well as to convince the Indian government to make better policies that would encourage the same.
You might think "Why do I care about what happens in India?", and it's because about 30% of all fashion products in the world are manufactured wholly or in part in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and other East and South-East Asian Countries.

I haven't been able to find a clear answer, so i figure i should ask here.
What i mean is, what's the difference from a 300 dollar designer brand shirt and 30 dollar zara shirt if they are both made from polyester? Are there "quality tiers" for polyester just like organic fabrics?
So, the title sums it up. Is all polyester bad?
So since trying to become more ethical with fashion I have started to look at sites like depop/poshmark etc for thrifted fashion. I keep seeing a lot of New with Tags on the sites and am wondering if that technically is considered sustainable? I’m sure there are some people that buy clothing leave the tags on and never wear it, but I’m beginning to see some sellers have multiple sizes of a specific design and am wondering if they’re just grabbing stuff on sale feom the store then reselling it online just like eBay was once known for... I guess there is no real way to know what the sellers intentions are, but I am curious to those who are sustainable fashions veterans what do you think about this???

I run an online shop selling only clothing made from 100% organic cotton, or made from 85% organic cotton and 15% recycled polyester (made from recycled plastic bottles). I’m on the hunt for something I’m starting to believe doesn’t exist. I need a new nude bralette. Before stating my sustainable clothing journey I would’ve just picked one up from Aerie and called it a day, but now I really want to try to find one that is produced in some kind of sustainable manner.
I’ve been searching for a couple of weeks and I’m starting to think I’m SOL. Pact’s bralettes feel too young for me, Everlane’s don’t have great reviews from larger chested women and everything else I’ve found is like $100 or doesn’t ship to the U.S. So I’ve turned to this group in hopes that someone else has any brilliant ideas.
I’m looking for something $50 or less, produced in some kind of sustainable way (I’m getting less strict with just how sustainable as this journey drags on), cute (aka doesn’t look like a nursing or training bra), nude, with a wideish band and/or straps, no underwire. I’m so desperate at this point, those are more guidelines than strict “must haves” so take that as you will.
I’m a 36D so I’m large chested enough that I need a little more coverage and support. I really just wear them so I’m not nips out all day long, I hate regular bras and I’d free the nip if I didn’t work in an office. Also I’m Irish and English, so when I say nude I mean a “few shades pinker than white” kind of color.
So does anyone have any ideas of a company that might have something like what I’m looking for?
