My boyfriend needs new sweats for Christmas and I’m shipping sustainable for him. Pact makes some that seem pretty solid, but I read some bad reviews about people never receiving their packages, bad customer service, etc. Should I go for it?
Many sustainable brands opt out of Black Friday. This makes sense because with sustainability it’s important to buy less, make it last, and shop more consciously.
However, if you are looking for a deal it's much better to buy from sustainable brands over fast fashion. There are quite a few good ethical brands worth believing in that partake in Black Friday. Brands like Adelante Shoe Co. are paying their workers 20% more for every Black Friday sale while also offering you 20% off.
I've compiled 8 deals on sustainable brands for him & her, with up to 70% off savings for Black Friday:
Hi all!
My team and I are launching our sneaker start up with a focus on sustainability in the footwear industry.
His family own and operate a small family run (literally his grandma, aunties, cousins, his father etc.) all work together to produce an array of shoes from top tier French and Italian brands through to cheaper, lesser known brands in Portugal.
We have designed and been able to produce a sneaker that is made from 90% upcycled/recycled wast materials, produced in the factory that where they source wind energy as a renewable energy source, we have designed our sneaker that can be easily repaired or returned to us where we can break down components of the sneaker rand turn them into new ones - completely avoiding the use of landfill. And we also DO NOT use any animal or animal by-products in our sneakers.
When we start producing on a larger scale, we will be donating amount of profit to environmental groups and causes that have a focus on cleaning up our planet.
We have produced our first sample and are now gearing up production for our first 100 units to friends and family who have been generous to donate and believe in our product and project.
We understand the meaning of sustainability and believe we can do even more to help reduce the environmental impact of our brand.
So we are reaching out to the community for your input and suggestions. What else can we do to increase the mid to long term environmental, social and economic sustainability of our brand?
Looking forward to your suggestions.
Very new to the sustainability space. Do you guys have any suggestions for YouTube channels that review or promote sustainable beauty/fashion?

Heeello everyone!
I've written this blog post about how know when a fashion brand is truly sustainable, and how to spot fishy brands trying to greenwash their image.
What do you think about my tips? Would you add something?

It seems like loads of people have been struggling with 'eco-anxiety' recently, so I've compiled a list of tried-and-tested ways to help overcome it, plus a guide to what eco-anxiety is, if you have no idea what I'm talking about!

I'd absolutely love your feedback or just someone to bounce ideas off. I'm in the middle of building a prototype for an online platform that I think will really benefit everyone on this forum.
It would be fantastic if you could fill out this survey: https://forms.gle/8p2Z7CeyNYYQKzoP6 or message me on here!
There is currently a long unhappy story of how our fashion is made and where it ends up. I want us to reimagine that story. The current system needs a remake, and hopefully, you can help me do just that!
Cheers!
Hi guys!
I’ve been thinking about starting my own sustainable clothing brand because of how limited it is in my country and also I really enjoy fashion/branding. I really want to merge these together and create something that’s truly transparent, lasts and can encourage conversations on sustainability and ethical consumption.
I spent the last month researching and there is so much information online so I decided to ask real people.
I’m planning to do a collection every 2-3 months instead of the normal weekly that’s rampant with small fashion businesses in the area I live (yes they release new designs EVERY week).
Some questions I have are:
1) Does anyone know where I can find sustainable manufacturers based in Asia/South East Asia?
2) What are some fabrics you love?
Feel free to add your thoughts as I’m very new to this!
Thank you x
Looking for a sustainable way to print on white shirts a navy blue logo.
Zero Carbon emission projects are how we are making a positive impact in the Fashion Industry. This Sexy, Rebellious, and Cool upcycled "Warrior Princess" clothing is made of natural elements and male authentic camouflage pants and a white vintage wedding gown we found at a local thrift store. We deconstructed authentic camouflage pants into a unique design combining high-waisted shorts and half pants. Then, upcycled a ruffled wedding gown by using its lace as trim and dramatic ruffles on the left side of the pant. We used the remaining wedding dress fabric to create a cape with ruffles designed around the models’ right shoulder.
What you guys thoughts of this upcycled design?
Hey everyone my name is Luke, Instagram @lukeslaundry. I posted here the other day and am posting again in hopes of getting more feedback. I have been sewing just a few months and really enjoy sourcing fabrics at thrift shops and consignment stores. If you guys know any other ways or places even online that I could source pre owned fabric I would love to hear your favorite! some work
People in this and other Reddit communities are being very helpful for our small brand. We want to give back this love and what better way than giving a discount! By using code Reddit you get 5% off.
Thank You for being so helpful,

Hi all! I imagine many answers will be a combination of the above, but I'd love to understand better what do you look for when shopping more sustainably. What kind of questions do you ask fashion brands? Do you look at what are the clothes made of, and understand the impacts of the different fabrics? Or would you like to have access to other supply information, such as origin of the clothes and components, factory emissions, etc? I'm interested in understanding what makes it easy, and fun, to make better decisions around fashion purchases. How would standard impact reporting per item look like in an ideal world? :)
I can't find ones at the thrift store. They're either too big or too small. And I can't seem to find a sustainable brand that isn't online only. Jeans are something I have to try on in store.
Have you heard of Fabscrap?

I recently discovered them, and I shopped at their Manhattan store in September. I'd highly recommend checking them out if you're interested in DIY projects and fashion designing sustainably.
Shop their online store: https://fabscrap.org/shop
Does anyone know where can I find ankle boots for women? I'm specifically looking for booties with metallic details?
Preferably faux leather, but they can be made of recycled leather as well.
Preferably cafe racer style
Hi sustainable readers,
A few years ago I used to buy very cheap t-shirts. From brands like Primark, H&M, Forever21, Zara and so on... I mean, I was a student, and 2 euros seemed a very good bargain.
Lately, my wife showed me how badly these fast fashion brands are polluting the earth. Then I decided to create my own clothing brand.
So I'm designing t-shirts for conscious consumers who are worried about environmental pollution in the fashion industry. That is, they are made of organic cotton, produced under fair working conditions and animal cruelty-free.
Are you also interested in knowing the conditions under which your clothes are produced?
So please, check my store out and share your opinion below. I'm opening this thread for sincere feedback!
We are finally live. Check out our site justsupply.co . We want to know your feedback !!

Hi,
Earlier in September, we announced JUST SUPPLY CO. a new sustainable fashion brand. Today we announce the day of the launch of our materials collection. We are opening our online store (justsupply.co) 7 of November, this Thursday! We will be selling our new three t-shirts made from 100% recycled materials.
We work so hard on this project, we hope you like it!
with love,
The team at Just.
I went from the waste management into fashion so I could actually design products that won’t pollute the planet. Do you consider how to dispose of a product before you buy it?
