Astronaut9 is an Amsterdam-based, sustainable unisex brand with a purpose to design timeless products that exist outside the strenuous noise of the destructive fashion wheel.
We create everyday essentials in clothing and accessories with a strong focus on simple yet powerful design. Keeping focus on fit, quality and the product life cycle our aim is to create a truly circular fashion economy within our brand. Our partnership with Zyosh means we can communicate with our customers not just at the point of sale but also at the point of garment recycling, shouldering the responsibility with our customers as our garments take the next step in their lifecycle.
Members of the community call themselves astronauts for taking the first steps into new spaces, opportunities and connections while thinking about the future. All this packed into a uniform for the forever curious.

Hi everyone!
We are currently a team of students at Brown University working on a project that aims to make online secondhand shopping more streamlined.
We are currently building a browser extension that allows users to find secondhand alternatives on whatever product you are currently looking at. We aim to launch a closed beta of our product within the next month and if you guys are interested in helping us test, we would love for you guys to sign up on our waitlist on our website.
We would also love to hear any feedback you may have on our project and what you would like to see us do. You can contact [david@letsift.com](mailto:david@letsift.com) if you have any questions or would just like to chat about why we are building this product!
Thank you guys for your help.
Best,
David

Hi there! I run marketing for a crowdinvesting marketplace that allows nearly all investors to invest directly in climate solutions, from community-owned solar projects to EV Charging stations, to well-known climate companies like BlocPower. We’ve raised over $5M for climate solutions from thousands of different investors, but are looking to grow our impact — and that of our projects — to be much greater. Most investments start at $100, not super expensive, but not super cheap either.
What would incentivize you to invest in a project? What kinds of projects do you find most compelling? Do you prefer to invest in debt or equity offerings? And where do you think we should advertise to find climate concerned individuals?
Thank you for your help! If you’d like to check out our current projects, visit https://invest.raisegreen.com!

This really cool company I work for called Losano is getting ready to launch in mid October. We make luxury essentials ranging from sports bras & leggings (blue sign certified & made from recycled plastic bottles!) to the softest loungewear you will ever allow on your body, made of organic cotton and modal (beech wood fibers). At Losano, we seek to enhance everyday by creating beautiful, highest-quality, and sustainable products that are good for our customers and the planet. We are woman founded, we are creators, we are a team, and we are family.
With sustainability at the forefront, every aspect of the collection, from design to transportation, is carefully thought through to be more mindful of the planet. Losano is designed using eco-friendly and sustainable materials, it is manufactured locally in Los Angeles to reduce the environmental impacts of shipping as well as safeguard conditions and fair pay for all garment makers and it is packaged using 100% post-consumer waste and recycled materials

Do you consider Recycled Polyester sustainable? I believe it's just another greenwashing strategy from brands and plastic/petroleum producers.
I have just watched a video interview about microplastics, and I have to say that what I learnt truly disgusts and scares me. If you are still using plastics or wearing polyester, I think this will help you stop for good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WDNzyCWikc&t=2s

I am looking for new people to follow... Please share!
I'm a 21 yr old guy, and I have a hard time finding sustainable/ethical clothing brands that are actually fashionable while being at least somewhat affordable. I find that a lot of ethical/sustainable brands seem to be geared more towards women, a lot of places will actually only have clothes for women. Has anyone else noticed this, or am I wrong? Also, any tips on shops/sites to visit? Thanks.

I feel like brands are getting better and better and greenwashing. And, what's worse... they end up blaming us, the consumers when we fall for their ticks.
I like this article about staying one step ahead of greenwashing tactics.
I find it very hard to find accurate information because most of the people who have become famous in the ethical fashion space have never actually worked in fashion, which is kind of crazy. I mean, would we get our medical advice from a lunch lady?
This article is pretty cool from a fashion expert who spent her career working in fast fashion factories. And it goes against all of the advice influencers are giving.
