During the past weeks, a couple of my Bolivian friends and I started reflecting on the changes that we would like to see in the world once the pandemic is over. After a few hours of conversation, we were able to connect with each other through a common passion - fashion. Each of us had a distinct background, experience, and knowledge on the impact that clothing had on our lives. Today, we have finally been able to come with a solution for a common problem that humanity has been facing: consumerism. The end goal of our project is to support sustainable fashion ideas - of repurposing, redistributing, and reconnecting with our physical planet. During the upcoming weeks, we will be collecting stories, memories, poems, and songs from people, in order to start creating a new movement in the fashion dialogue.
