Just out of curiosity, will you trade your old laptops and electronics for fashion items ?

I am trying to understand what motivates people for recycling. I for sure know that people will trade their old smart phone for money, but I want to understand is money the only motivating factor ?

This is not a survey or any kind. I just saw a post on u/sustainability on trading phone for money, so just got curious to know what else.
