Not sure if this is the right subreddit, but looking for some advice! I have a bunch of clothes that I’d like to donate, but I’ve struggled to find shelters in my area that would take them (they’re either not accepting lightly used items or have pretty strict guidelines on sizes), and I don’t love donating to goodwill/Salvation Army. I thought I could host a garage sale of sorts where everything is free and I could advertise on OfferUp/Facebook buy nothing groups/signs around the neighborhood. Is that something that you think people would be interested in or is it weird? I want people who need the items to feel like it’s a nice experience so I’d love to setup my driveway like a cute shop with items displayed on racks & have some snacks and things. Would it be better to frame it like a $1 sale or something vs free? I don’t want people to just feel like I’m offloading my items to them. Let me know your thoughts!
