Lately, I’ve been struggling with all of the “rules” around sustainable and ethical consumption. Every time I learn something new about fabrics, supply chains, overconsumption, or secondhand shopping, I feel like I need to change my whole lifestyle to match. It’s exhausting trying to keep up, and honestly, sometimes it feels like I’m drowning in information.
I know the most sustainable thing is to wear what I already own, but the truth is I love clothing. It brings me real joy to explore styles, textures, and looks. I just don’t know how to balance that passion with my desire to be thoughtful and responsible.
So I’m curious:
- How do you personally cope with the pressure to “get it right”?
- How do you stay informed without getting overwhelmed?
- What helps you find peace in your own version of sustainability?
I’d love to hear how others navigate this.
