Is overseas shipping more unethical than buying locally or within the country? New to this

For example, I was looking at sustainable basics. The only companies in my price range that I liked was this "great" brand (according to Good on You) based in Australia and a "good" brand based in the U.S. Since I'm based in the U.S., is it more ethical to shop from these "good" and "great" brands based in the U.S.?

For anyone who wants to know what the brands are: it's Mighty Good Basics based in Australia and Knickey based in U.S.
