Okay so this has been crossing my mind. Obviously fast fashion companies suck. And we have a list in this sub of sustainable brands. However! I was wondering this: take a place like Macy’s or Nordstrom. Are those stores actually less damaging to the environment / the workers who make the clothes than fast fashion (like missguided or f21), or are they just marking up their products at a higher price point because they know they can sell them for that wider profit margin? In other words, aside from the fact that sometimes more expensive clothes from a place like Macy’s are maybe more durable, is there actually an ethical difference between shopping there and shopping on Romwe?
