Rubi Labs - using enzymes to grow fabric

I just stumbled on this piece of paid content on CNN, obviously, it's got a commercial agenda. But this is the first time I've heard of anyone trying to do this and I thought it was fascinating:

I can't see any reference to people actually using this tech in their clothing lines - be good to see if it becomes commercially viable.
