I struggle with my wardrobe. In the past, I bought mostly fast fashion due to budget and I want to change that.
Now I work at a thrift shop and have a little more cash, so I want to replace my pile of trash with sustainable, good quality items that will last a long time from there. I also refuse to buy plastic stuff anymore so we're talking natural fibers. I found a cashmere sweater this week!
That leaves me with a completely new problem; how much stuff does one actually reasonably need when you have good things that don't fall apart? My rebuy schedule was previously mostly based on replacing worn out stuff.
Now I have no idea how many times one can wear this sweater I thrifted before it turns gross and wants to be washed, for example. So I don't know how many of them I need to be warm all winter in between doing laundry. But since I intend to thrift, I need a number so I don't buy too much when I find some in store that fits or pass up on it when I need it! I can't just decide I need a new one on a whim.
Categories I'm mostly wondering about is jeans, sweaters, coats.
Thank you!
