I’m planning my wedding and would love to make my dress as sustainable as possible. I’m on a budget, so I’m exploring options like:
- Repurposing a second-hand designer gown.
- Shopping from designer sample pieces and recreating the dress to match a design I love.
I’m based in India but also live in the UK part-time, so I’m open to stores, tailors, or online options in India, nearby Asia, the UK, or Europe.
I’d really appreciate any advice or tips on:
1. Where to find second-hand designer wedding gowns (online stores, thrift shops, or local markets in India/Thailand/UK/Europe).
2. Recommendations for sustainable bridal brands or sample sales in these regions.
3. How to find a skilled seamstress or tailor who can help alter or recreate a dress (especially in India or the UK).
4. Any personal experiences with repurposing or redesigning a wedding gown.
