Sorry if the title is confusing! I’m trying to find some sustainable brands that fit my needs but I have some trouble, as it seems like most brands I find are either very flowy, loose light fabrics, maxi dresses, etc. or else like formally tailored (like black tie formal). I really would love to find something in between!
If it helps, I’m a Kibbe Soft Gamine. So that means lots of high neckline (no scoops or v-necks), sleeves are kinda fitted at the ends (wrist, 1/2 sleeve, 3/4 sleeve, or whatever). Skinny/form fitting ankle pants are the best pants. Skirts have to be no longer than right at my knee (I’m a bit petite so I always look for mini skirts, as knee-length is always lower). Dresses with waist definition, like fit and flare, are also really nice. Everything should be fitted so I’m not drowning in fabric, but like not so corporate and crisp if that makes sense.
I love dark and light academia, but also take a lot of inspiration from early seasons Blair Waldorf. However, I also wear a lot of like casual streetwear (crop top, cargo pants, boots).
I find a lot of brands have a fixation on maxi dresses, flowy fabric, or deep v necks… things that just look kinda bad on me! I also don’t want to look too matronly, just put together and intentional.
Does anyone have recommendations for brands that could fit this?
