Lately I’ve been trying to consume less, this mindset is new to me. I’ve officially made a vision board with sustainability photos, basic outfits like a white shirt and jeans etc. I’m really really trying! Especially now that I have a son, I want to set an example of why it’s important and beneficial to be mindful with spending, buying, consuming.
However I fall into the cycle of wanting to buy new shoes or clothes because “ I need one to complete my closet and I’ll be good” but I’ve found myself doing this several times now. I DO shop good quality things, so they last longer. Eg. Merrell shoes for work cos I would want them to last awhile + be comfy. Expensive but I am certain the quality will last me years.
But honestly, how do I stop this. I’ve deleted social media to stop this cycle and find myself back on this track. I also WANT TO SAVE MONEY! Please help me with how you shift your perception or build a mindset. I’m new to this and this whole thing is humbling me so much.
