Do you have a system to prevent buying pieces that won’t integrate into your wardrobe?

I’ve been trying to shop more intentionally and reduce unnecessary purchases this year.

One thing I’ve noticed is that many “mistakes” don’t happen because something is trendy - but because it doesn’t actually integrate well with what I already own.

Even when it fits my color palette, sometimes proportions, layering, or silhouette just don’t work the way I imagined.

I’m curious how people here prevent that stage of over consumption.

Do you:

- require a minimum number of planned outfits?

- keep a visual record of your wardrobe?

- use strict capsule rules?

- wait a certain number of days before purchasing?

Would love to hear practical systems that actually help reduce waste.
