I've been thinking a lot about the gap between wanting to consume fashion more ethically and the realities of everyday life.
For example, sometimes I try to buy second-hand or from more sustainable brands, but other times I still end up buying fast fashion because it's cheaper, easier, or I need something quickly. It can feel a bit contradictory, but I imagine many people experience something similar.
I'm curious how people here deal with that tension in practice.
Do you find ways to balance ethical concerns with things like price, availability, or convenience? Or did your habits change over time?
I'm really interested in hearing how others approach this in real life.
(Also: I'm a master's student researching fashion consumption and these kinds of experiences are exactly what my thesis focuses on. If anyone would be open to talking about their experiences in a short online interview, feel free to send me a DM, but no pressure at all. I'm mostly interested in the discussion here.)
