In recent years I've been transitioning to clothes made of natural materials, but many of the items I own are now 5+ years old, so I still have quite a lot of acrylic in my closet. In particular, I have a couple of acrylic sweaters that have been downgraded to "just at home"-wear for years at this point, and even though I WFH, I realised I never wore them once this autumn/winter.
Will they hunt my closet forever? I'm afraid they have way too much pilling to sell or even donate, not when thrift stores are overflowing with cheaply-made clothing, but I feel guilty at the thought of throwing them away. Any ideas for what I can do? I'm honestly at a loss.
