Thinking of starting an online clothing brand

Hey guys,
I’m looking to start my own online clothing brand as a beginner and could use some advice on how to take the very first step.

For someone starting out with a small budget, is it better to buy ready-made blank clothes and get them printed/embroidered locally, or should I use a Print on Demand website so I don't have to worry about stocking inventory? (Any advice u would give to a beginner entering this industry)
I want to keep things simple and avoid making expensive mistakes early on. What would you suggest a beginner do in the first month?
