When you buy natural fibers do you size up to account for shrinkage?

I am building a closet that I can wear for the next 10 years (I'm still wearing clothes from 10 years ago). I'm very interested in different organic fibers but I am afraid to spend a lot of money just for them to shrink and become unwearable... I wash in cold and hang dry as a rule of thumb, but I've been disappointed in the past by natural fibers shrinking on me.

TLDR: When you buy natural fibers (or shrinkable non-polyester fibers) like tencel, ramie, rayon, modal, linen, viscose etc, do you buy your size, or do you size up? Do you consider the shrink factor when you buy your natural fiber clothes?
