New Years Resolution: Be More Sustainable

Hi, everyone, I'm new to this subreddit and I made it my New Years resolution to be more sustainable (particularly where clothing is concerned). I like to knit and handsew (I don't have a sewing machine) so I'm doing what I can to elevate the clothes I have. The clothes I feel I cannot improve, I'm looking to sell instead of throwing them out. I'm shopping in local thrift stores and online ones like Thredup and the Goodwill shop for new clothes that are my style and made from natural materials. I've seen a few videos online of how to upcycle or shop sustainably and I read Megean Weldon's book, "An Almost Zero Waste Life." I'm looking for any advice anyone can give me since I'm new to this, especially when it comes to shopping sustainably for shoes which seems to be my biggest hurdle so far. I'm trying really hard to stick with this but it's really hard not to get discouraged when you see an item of clothing you really like but it's 100% polyester and was made by people working for slave wages in sweatshops. Anyway, I'm excited to be a part of this community and to do my part to reduce the waste on this planet.
