In this video, around the 11m00s mark, the fashion expert says that elastane breaks during washing, which in turn makes the piece clothing to last less.
However, I could not find any source for this on the Internet. In fact, every website/post I've seem mentions elastane as positive addition to cotton/denim because it actually makes the clothing last longer.
Now I'm confused, is elastane good or bad for durability? Pretty much anything has elastane nowadays, I hope it's not a lifespan shortener for clothing.
