Recycled plastic clothing is still plastic and still ends up in our oceans.

I've been seeing a lot of recycled plastic clothing and shoes being manufactured as a way to market a more sustainable approach to fashion.

This is barely a solution to the problem of plastics polluting our oceans. Recycled plastic isn't as bad as polyester but washing either of them creates microfibers.

It's sad to see because it's hard to distinguish companies that are trying to make a positive impact on the environment and those that are greenwashing the idea of recycled plastic to appeal to the increased demand for sustainable clothing.

Just thought I'd throw my two cents on the topic because after a few Google searches I could only find two articles saying this.
