What do you want from a sustainable brand?

Hi all!

My team and I are launching our sneaker start up with a focus on sustainability in the footwear industry.

His family own and operate a small family run (literally his grandma, aunties, cousins, his father etc.) all work together to produce an array of shoes from top tier French and Italian brands through to cheaper, lesser known brands in Portugal.

We have designed and been able to produce a sneaker that is made from 90% upcycled/recycled wast materials, produced in the factory that where they source wind energy as a renewable energy source, we have designed our sneaker that can be easily repaired or returned to us where we can break down components of the sneaker rand turn them into new ones - completely avoiding the use of landfill. And we also DO NOT use any animal or animal by-products in our sneakers.

When we start producing on a larger scale, we will be donating amount of profit to environmental groups and causes that have a focus on cleaning up our planet.

We have produced our first sample and are now gearing up production for our first 100 units to friends and family who have been generous to donate and believe in our product and project.

We understand the meaning of sustainability and believe we can do even more to help reduce the environmental impact of our brand.

So we are reaching out to the community for your input and suggestions. What else can we do to increase the mid to long term environmental, social and economic sustainability of our brand?

Looking forward to your suggestions.
