Is depop really sustainable?

We all know depop is a far better place to shop than any other fast-fashion store since their close is second-hand. However I believe it actually causes people to buy more fast fashion items (especially online shopping) because acts like a safety net for people to change their mind about clothes they purchased and/or purchase clothes that does not dit them well. Therefore, fast-fashion brands still have a profit from the person who originally bought their clothes. I know that we live in a world where fast fashion dominates fashion industry, and buying items second hand is still a big step in the right direction, however I’ve seen a lot of influencer promoting using depop as an excuse to buy more unsustainable clothes because they can sell it for little to no loss financially.
