Hi friends. I'm considering starting an etsy store for handmade sustainable clothing. Its important to me that its eco friendly but I'm having trouble with materials. I'm using reclaimed/upcycled thrift store fabric which is working fine, but when it comes to things like buttons, zippers, bias tape, etc. Im still buying these things direct from the store so I wouldnt feel right calling my clothing sustainable or eco friendly if the bias tape I use to finish the hem is 100% polyester - not sustainably sourced. Thoughts? Should i just not use what I can't sustainably source? Thank you!
