Sustainable Fabrics I Bet You Have Never Heard Of (like silk made from clam saliva)

For anyone looking for sustainable textiles that go beyond the status quo of organic cotton, hemp, and Tencel.

Have you heard of calotropis, an all-natural, unprocessed, and vegan alternative to wool? Or, kapok, a way less thirsty version of cotton? Then there is also abaca, nettle, lotus silk, and even sea silk made from the saliva of clams in Italy. Pretty cool right?
