To understand the severity, the fashion industry is now the second largest consumer of water, and female garment workers for brands including H&M, have reported exploitation and mistreatment.
Despite these widely publicised environmental and social impacts, the industry, and its issues continue to grow as the business model benefits both the retailer and the consumer.
