I don’t throw around “buy it for life” lightly but after years of trial, error and customer service run arounds, there are a few brands that have actually earned my long term loyalty.
Patagonia: Whoever has shopped from them would add them to their list. Their gear lasts forever and when it doesn’t, they repair or replace it with zero issues. I’ve sent in jackets I clearly abused and they still took care of me.
Red wing: Expensive up front but my boots have outlasted multiple cheaper pairs. Being able to resole instead of replace makes a big difference. They’re the kind of boots you buy once, maintain and keep wearing for years (great for outdoors)
Levi’s: Not perfect but when you find a cut that works, it lasts. I still have pairs that are years old and holding up better than most newer “fast fashion” jeans.
Firmoo: I wear prescription glasses every day so they’re a huge part of how I look but I’ve never loved spending a ton of money on them. That's why, years ago I switched to online eyewear. A year ago, I ordered glasses from firmoo and screwed up by putting in the wrong PD. Thought I was stuck with them but they exchanged them super easily (free of additional cost) and their support was answering to me at all times. That kind of customer service is rare now especially for online glasses so they have earned repeat business from me.
Mejuri: Stylish and well made without exorbitant prices. Their pieces hold up beautifully over time. My everyday rings and chains haven’t tarnished or looked cheap even with regular wear and the price point is way more accessible than fine jewelry.
Not saying these are perfect brands for everyone, just ones that have held up for me. Interested to hear what brands people here actually stick with after years of use.
