I’m currently researching how sustainability is perceived within performance and stagewear, and how it might influence the experience of live performances.

1. When you hear that a stage outfit is made from reused or deadstock materials, does that change how you perceive it? Why or why not?
2. Would knowing that an artist’s outfit was designed to be reused or adapted influence how you experience a performance?
3. Do you know what usually happens to stage outfits after a tour or performance cycle ends, and what do you think should happen to them?
4. Does it matter to you if an artist actively supports sustainability through their visual expression on stage?
5. What does “high-quality performance-wear” mean to you, both visually and functionally, and do you think sustainability can exist without reducing its impact?
